Welcome to TubeMinder ("we", "our", "us", or "the App"). TubeMinder is a YouTube video reminder application developed and published by AiTricker on the Google Play Store.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android application TubeMinder (package name: com.youminder.aitricker). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

By downloading, installing, or using TubeMinder, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the App.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Data You Provide

When you use TubeMinder, you may enter the following information, which is stored locally on your device only:

• Reminder Data: Video titles, YouTube URLs, reminder messages, scheduled date and time, category labels, and repeat preferences that you create within the App.
• Playlist Data: YouTube playlist URLs and associated video information when you import a playlist.
• Watch History: Records of reminders you mark as watched, stored locally for your personal tracking.
• App Preferences: Your notification sound selection, vibration preference, and other settings.

3.2 Data Collected by Third-Party Services

TubeMinder uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display advertisements. AdMob automatically collects and processes certain data, including:

• Device & Account Identifiers: Android advertising ID (ad ID), app set ID, and identifiers tied to signed-in accounts on the device.
• IP Address: Used to estimate the general location of the device for ad targeting.
• User Product Interactions: App launch, taps, video views, and other interaction information related to ads.
• Diagnostic Information: Performance data such as app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage.

This data is collected for the purposes of advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. All data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol.

The Android advertising ID is optional — users can reset or delete their advertising ID through device settings (Settings > Google > Ads), and users can opt out of personalized ads.

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Partner Policy. We do not have access to or control over this data.

3.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

TubeMinder itself does NOT collect any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Account or login credentials
• Location data (GPS, network-based, or approximate)
• Contacts or address book information
• Photos, videos, or files from your device
• Browsing history or search history outside the App
• Financial or payment information
• Health, fitness, or biometric data
• Analytics, diagnostics, or crash report data (note: Google AdMob may independently collect diagnostic data as described in Section 3.2)

4. How We Use Information

All data stored by TubeMinder is used solely for the following purposes:

• Scheduling Reminders: To set alarms and send you notifications at your chosen date and time so you don't miss a video.
• Displaying Content: To show your saved reminders, watch history, playlists, and statistics within the App interface.
• Loading Thumbnails: To fetch and display YouTube video thumbnail images from YouTube's public servers when displaying your reminders.
• Backup & Restore: To allow you to export your reminders to a local file and restore them when needed. This process is entirely local and user-initiated.
• Notification Customization: To apply your preferred notification sound and vibration settings when sending reminders.

5. Internet Usage

TubeMinder requires the INTERNET permission for the following purposes:

• YouTube Thumbnail Images: Fetching video thumbnail images from YouTube's public image servers (i.ytimg.com) to display alongside your reminders.
• Playlist Information: Fetching publicly available playlist data from YouTube when you import a playlist.
• Advertisements: Loading and displaying ads through Google AdMob. Ad content is served from Google's ad network servers. This includes transmitting device identifiers, IP address, user interaction data, and diagnostic information to Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention purposes.

Your personal reminder data is never transmitted over the internet. The internet connection is used for fetching publicly available YouTube content and for serving advertisements.

6. Data Storage & Security

6.1 Local Storage

All reminder data, watch history, playlist information, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using:

• Room Database (SQLite): For structured reminder and watch history data.
• SharedPreferences: For app settings such as notification sound and vibration preferences.

This data resides in the App's private storage directory, which is protected by the Android operating system and is not accessible to other applications.

6.2 Security Measures

• All data is stored in the app's sandboxed private storage, protected by Android's built-in security model.
• No personal data is transmitted to our servers — we do not operate any servers.
• The App uses Google AdMob for advertisements, which operates under Google's own security standards.
• The release build uses R8 code shrinking and obfuscation for additional protection.

7. Data Sharing with Third Parties

7.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)

TubeMinder uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display advertisements. Through AdMob, Google automatically collects and shares the following data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention purposes:

• Device and account identifiers (Android advertising ID, app set ID)
• IP address
• User product interactions (app launch, taps, video views)
• Diagnostic information (performance data)

All data collected by AdMob is encrypted in transit using TLS. The Android advertising ID is optional and can be reset or deleted by the user through device settings.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

7.2 What We Do NOT Share

We do not:

• Sell, rent, or trade any user data to any third party.
• Use any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics).
• Integrate any social media tracking or login SDKs.
• Send any of your reminder data, watch history, or personal information to any server.

7.3 Other Third-Party Libraries (Non-Tracking)

TubeMinder uses the following open-source libraries that do not collect, transmit, or share user data:

• Coil (Image Loading): Used to fetch and cache YouTube thumbnail images. Coil makes anonymous HTTP requests to YouTube's public image servers (i.ytimg.com, img.youtube.com) and stores the results in a local cache. No personal data is sent.
• Jetpack Compose, Room, AndroidX: Standard Google Android UI and database libraries, fully on-device with no network communication.
• Jetpack Glance: Used to render the home-screen widgets, fully on-device.
• Kotlin Coroutines: Used for background processing, fully on-device.

7.4 Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML)

Specifically, the App does not:

• Send any user input to AI services such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar.
• Use on-device or cloud-based ML models to analyze your reminders, watch history, or behavior.
• Generate AI-driven recommendations, summaries, or suggestions.
• Process your data for AI training purposes.

The "Smart" features in the App (smart time presets, automatic playlist scheduling, video title fetching) are based purely on simple deterministic logic — date/time arithmetic and standard regex/HTTP requests — not on AI or ML.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

8.1 Retention

Your data is retained on your device for as long as:

• The App is installed on your device, OR
• You choose to keep the data within the App.

8.2 Account Deletion

This means:

• You do not need to submit any account deletion request to us.
• All your data exists only on your device.
• Removing data from your device permanently and irreversibly deletes it.

8.3 Deletion of Your Data

You have complete control over your data. You can delete your data at any time through the following methods:

• Within the App: Delete individual reminders by swiping or using the delete option. Clear watch history through the app interface. Use Settings > Backup & Restore to manage data.
• Clear App Data: Go to your device's Settings > Apps > TubeMinder > Storage > Clear Data. This removes all app data including reminders, watch history, and settings.
• Uninstall the App: Uninstalling TubeMinder automatically removes all associated data from your device.
• Reset Advertising ID: Reset or delete your Android advertising ID through Settings > Google > Ads.

Since no data is stored on external servers, deletion from your device means the data is permanently and irreversibly removed.

8.4 Data Breach Notification

Because TubeMinder does not collect or store any personal data on remote servers, the risk of a server-side data breach is effectively zero on our end.

However, in the unlikely event we become aware of any security incident affecting users, we will:

• Notify affected users without undue delay (within 72 hours where feasible, in line with GDPR Article 33 standards).
• Post a notice on this Privacy Policy page describing the nature of the incident, the data potentially affected, and any steps users should take.
• Notify the relevant data protection authorities where required by law.
• Cooperate fully with applicable regulatory investigations.

9. App Permissions

TubeMinder requests the following Android permissions, each for a specific and necessary purpose:

WAKE_LOCK	Briefly wake the device to process and deliver reminder notifications.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS	Request exemption from battery optimization to ensure reminders are delivered reliably.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE	Run a short-lived foreground service to reliably deliver notifications.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_REMINDERS	Categorizes the foreground service as a reminder service (Android 14+).

10. Your Rights & Controls

As a user of TubeMinder, you have the following rights over your data:

• Right to Access: All your data is visible and accessible within the App at all times — reminders, watch history, and settings.
• Right to Modify: You can edit any reminder, change categories, update times, and modify all settings at any time.
• Right to Delete: You can delete any individual reminder, clear your watch history, or remove all data by clearing app data or uninstalling.
• Right to Export: You can export all your reminders to a backup file using the Backup feature, giving you a portable copy of your data.
• Right to Restrict Permissions: You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's Settings > Apps > TubeMinder > Permissions. The App will continue to function with reduced capabilities.

Since all data is stored locally and we have no access to it, you exercise these rights directly through the App and your device settings — no request to us is needed.

11. Children's Privacy

TubeMinder is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the App does not collect any personal data from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has used the App, please note that any data created within the App (reminders, etc.) exists only on the device and can be removed by clearing the app data or uninstalling the App.

12. Third-Party Links & Services

TubeMinder allows you to open YouTube video links in the YouTube app or your device's web browser. When you tap "Open in YouTube" or interact with a YouTube URL, you will be redirected to YouTube, which is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of YouTube or any other third-party services.

13. Google Play Data Safety Summary

The following summarizes our data practices as declared in the Google Play Data Safety section:

14. Legal Basis & International Users

TubeMinder is available globally. Regardless of your location, we apply the same privacy protections to all users. The following sections describe additional rights for users in specific jurisdictions.

14.1 European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom & Switzerland — GDPR / UK GDPR

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the following legal bases apply under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): For data processed by Google AdMob for personalized advertising. You may be presented with a Google UMP (User Messaging Platform) consent dialog when the App is first launched.
• Legitimate Interest (Article 6(1)(f)): For locally stored data (reminders, watch history, settings) processed solely on your device for the App's core functionality.
• Contractual Necessity (Article 6(1)(b)): For features you actively use, such as scheduling reminders and importing playlists.

Your GDPR rights include:

• Right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data.
• Right to data portability (use the in-App Backup feature to export your data).
• Right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK).
• Right to withdraw consent at any time through device settings or by clearing app data.

14.2 India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)

If you are located in India, the following applies under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

• Notice & Consent: This Privacy Policy serves as the notice required under Section 5 of the DPDP Act. By using the App, you provide your consent for the processing described herein.

• Right to Delete: You can delete data via the App, by clearing app data, or by uninstalling.
• Right to Correct: All your data is editable directly within the App.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the manner defined by CCPA/CPRA. You may still configure ad personalization through your device settings.
• Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect or use any sensitive personal information.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA/CPRA rights.
• Authorized Agent: You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by contacting us via the email below.

Categories of personal information collected (CCPA categorization): Identifiers (advertising ID, IP address — by AdMob only), Internet/network activity (interaction with ads — by AdMob only). No other categories are collected.

14.4 Other US State Privacy Laws

We respect the privacy rights granted to residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws, including (as of 2026):

14.5 Global Privacy Control (GPC) Signal

TubeMinder honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where it is required by law. Since the App itself does not engage in the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, the primary effect of the GPC signal applies to ad personalization, which can also be controlled through your device's Settings > Google > Ads.

14.6 Brazil — LGPD

If you are located in Brazil, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) grants you rights similar to GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to object to data processing.

14.7 Ad Personalization & UMP Consent (Google AdMob)

For users in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and other regions where required, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) compliant with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.2) to obtain consent for personalized advertising.

• First Launch Consent Dialog: When the App is first launched in regions requiring consent, a UMP consent dialog appears explaining the use of advertising identifiers and inviting you to accept, reject, or customize your choices.
• Withdrawing Consent: You can withdraw or modify your consent at any time by reopening the consent dialog (where surfaced in the App settings) or by clearing the App's data.
• Non-Personalized Ads: If you reject personalized ads, the App will continue to show non-personalized ads, which use only minimal data (such as approximate location based on IP) and not behavioral tracking.
• Device-Level Opt-Out: Independent of the in-App dialog, you may opt out of ad personalization at any time through Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

17.2 Jurisdiction
